The 3rd Transnational Project Meeting of the ITSHEC project took place on 19-20th May 2022 in the University of Split (School of Medicine, Split, Croatia). 

This meeting allowed all partners to meet us in person because the previous Transnational Project Meetings were done virtual due to pandemic situation.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We visited the School of Medicine, and Sandra Kostic (University of Split) showed us the classrooms, the meeting rooms, the offices, and we were able to see the impressive views of the sea. 

 

STEERING GROUP MEETING

In the Steering Group Meeting, Mar Carrió (principal investigator of ITSHEC) and Nathália Rosa from UPF did a project overview (update status) and explained some decisions-makings to do as the coordination of dissemination activities (Methodological Guide), the activities planned to 2022 and 2023 years  (Learning/Teaching/Training Activities and Multiplier events) and the next Transnational Project Meeting. We talked about what has been done and we had the opportunity to raise questions, discuss and propose changes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

WORKSHOP INTELLECTUAL OUTPUT 3 – TOOLKIT 

In the Workshop Intellectual Output 3, Ariadna Graells and Eva Pedrosa from ESIMAR did an Intellectual output overview of what had be done so far, and explained the design of the Toolkit, which consists of a collection of specific educational resources for HE to be applied in the classroom or other educational environments to foster the development of students’ transversal skills and its evaluation.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We also planned the International Summer School “Transversal skills for humanization of technology for health and social wellbeing”, a training offer to health and social care students about transversal skills and a capacity building programme for lecturers, teachers, and trainers from participating institutions. The event is a 5-day programme based on experimentation and active methodologies based on different teaching-learning approaches (PBL, role-play, gamification, virtual reality, cooperative learning strategies and simulation). In addition to organising the programme and activities that will take place at the event, Ariadna and Eva did a workshop with all partners to design the staff training. The main objectives of the workshop were: identify main difficulties during the design of the toolkit activities, define learning objectives for teacher’s training during the intensive program (July 2022, Barcelona) and design the training activities and schedule for the staff training (July 2022, Barcelona). 

In the workshop partners were divided in two groups, and received a deck of cards and sticky notes of different colors. Placing all the cards to see the name on it, partners had to identify, prioritize, share and define the toolkit activities by thinking about their expertise and the difficulties they could encounter during the design phase of the activities. Thinking and sharing objectives is the easiest way to define what we would like to learn. 

 

 

 

 

WORKSHOP INTELLECTUAL OUTPUT 4 – VIRTUAL REALITY 

In the Workshop Intellectual Output 4, Luis Villarejo from Immersium Studio, reviewed all the milestones from IO4, which includes the design and piloting of an application to foster the development of students’ transversal skills in the field of healthcare and social care. He explained the preliminary design of virtual reality experiences/scenarios and together we worked on a script co-design on interpersonal and socio-emotional skills. We could discuss what situations were realistic or needed changes, and proposed modifications of scenes/situations in order to better reflect on interpersonal and socio-emotional skills.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In addition, all the partners were able to try Virtual Reality glasses first-hand to see what the experiences that we will use to work on transversal skills are like.

 

 

Finally we planned the Finland Event learning, teaching and training activities, which consists of an intensive programme on Virtual Reality for undergraduate and postgraduate students. It would be a 5-day programme based on IO4 with the goals of providing students with both theoretical and practical first-hand knowledge of immersive technologies and their applications. We will provide students space, time, and accompaniment so they can design their immersive technology applications. Also we planned an IO4 pilot study to incorporate user feedback.

 

Tourist visit to Split (Croatia)

We visited the city center of Split with a touristic guide that explained us interesting architectural data and historical anecdotes that made our visit very entertaining. We were also able to walk along the tourist promenade next to the beach and enjoy the beautiful views over the sea.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Transnational Project Meetings are a fundamental part of the project strategy since they allow us to know all the group members better and make it easier taking advantage of each partner’s best skills. The warmth of the face-to-face meetings allows an easy sharing, proposing and discussing partners’ different points of view.
